Lifestyle Coaching is a method of guiding others through the process of achieving what it is that they want with regards to health, fitness, weight management, finances, career, relationships, etc. Coaches may specialize in different aspects of life or may take a more overall approach; they taylor their coaching to each individual. Coaches are not necessarily going to give a person step-by-step instructions to achieve what they want, but will likely help a person through the process of figuring out what the right steps are for themselves. We are all unique with different preferences, challenges, beliefs, knowledge and abilities.
Lifestyle coaches often utilize goal setting, identification of obstacles, and use of personal support systems. The relationship between the coach and coachee is an accountability partnership focused on the overall outcome goals as defined by the coachee. Coaching can be done effectively either remotely over the phone, or in person. Coaches may be experts in a particular field and can assist you through your development toward your goals and offer you insights that will speed up your progress.
Making life changes can sometimes be a difficult process rather than a quick fix. Having the help of a knowledgeable coach might be just the thing to help you get to your goals more quickly. A personal coach can be a great asset to encourage you and offer support and advice as you jump over the hurdles on your way to achieving your long-term goals.
